AdGuide is operated by Adcam Advertising (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa with its registered office at 223 George Rd, Wilderness, 6539, South Africa ("AdGuide", "we", "us"). We act as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
By creating an account or using AdGuide, you agree to the practices described here. For payments, our Merchant of Record is Paddle.com Market Ltd — see Section 4.
Account information: your full name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
Learning progress: courses started and completed, lesson views and completions, quiz attempts and scores, scenario attempts and AI evaluations, XP and streaks.
AI chat content: messages you send to the AI Trainer and inside Scenarios, and the AI's responses, so you can revisit them.
Purchase information: order ID, product purchased, amount, currency, and refund status. Card details are collected and stored by Paddle, not by us.
Technical data: basic logs needed to operate the service (timestamps, IP address for security purposes, error reports).
To provide the learning experience — tracking your progress, issuing certificates, generating AI feedback. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
To process payments, billing, tax, and refunds — handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Legal basis: performance of contract and legal obligation (tax).
To improve the platform — aggregated, de-identified analytics on which lessons and scenarios are working. Legal basis: legitimate interests in improving our service.
To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests in protecting AdGuide and our users.
To communicate with you — transactional emails (welcome, streak reminders, course completion, receipts). Legal basis: performance of contract.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or tax purposes (for example, payment and invoicing records held for the period required by South African tax law).
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, row-level security on the database, least-privilege access for staff, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or misuse of your data.
AdGuide is operated from South Africa, but some of our subprocessors (Lovable Cloud, AI providers, Paddle, email delivery) may process data outside South Africa, including in the European Union, United Kingdom, and United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request deletion of your account, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and ask for your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email support@adguide.app and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the South African Information Regulator if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
AdGuide is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact support@adguide.app and we will remove the account.
